The Visitor Visa Subclass 600 – Sponsored Family Stream is specifically for those intending to visit relatives, family, or friends in Australia, combined with tourism, without the intention to work. Similar to the Tourist Stream, the Sponsored Family Stream also has a duration ranging from 3 to 12 months. The maximum stay per entry can be up to 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months, and it allows for single or multiple entries. However, it is typically granted as a single entry Visa. |
| For the Sponsored Family Stream, your relative in Australia must be an Australian Citizen or, if the sponsor is a Permanent resident (PR), they must have lived in Australia for at least 2 years and have a stable life there. The 8503 condition (No Further Stay) is often applied to this Visa, this means that the Visa holder must return to their home country when the Visa expires and is typically not allowed to apply for other Visas, such as a Partner Visa, while in Australia. |  |
