Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 835/115)

 

 

Both these two Visa subclasses are designed to help applicants reunite with their sole remaining relative in Australia and require proof that they have no other family members in their current country of residence.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be the only remaining relative of your sponsor in Australia.
  • You do not have any other family members living in your current country of residence or in any other country.
  • Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 115): This Visa is for those who are the last remaining family members with no other relatives except for their family living in Australia. It allows them to migrate to Australia to live with their family member, who is an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident.
  • Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 835): This Visa is similar to subclass 115 but is for those who are already in Australia on another Visa and wish to change their status to become a Permanent resident by reuniting with their only relative in Australia.
