Witnesses must provide as much detail as possible on the following points: * Key dates they have witnessed the couple being together. * Significant events they have seen the couple attend together. * Reasons why they believe the couple is in a genuine relationship (e.g., they have visited the couple’s home, traveled with them, or are close friends of the couple). |
Notes: The signature on Form 888 must match the signature on their identification documents (such as a passport or driver’s license). Witnesses must provide identification documents proving their status as an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Examples include:
* Australian Passport, or
* Australian Citizenship Certificate, or
* Driver’s License and green Medicare card, or
* Electoral Roll Certificate and Driver’s License.
